Dropbox Transfer Gratis: The Future of DropboxPortableAHK

As we all know, active development on DropboxPortableAHK stopped back in 2017, with only a few bug fixes implemented. However, this unfortunate event has given me the opportunity to discuss the future of DropboxPortableAHK and its compatibility with recent Dropbox versions.

Unfortunately, it seems that Dropbox has changed some internal data structures that DropboxPortableAHK modifies to set the Dropbox path. Despite my efforts, I was unable to find a way around this issue, which is why the new version of DropboxPortableAHK is not compatible with Dropbox anymore. The good news is that you can still download and use the latest version from our Download page.

After updating, you may need to re-run through the Dropbox setup process to correctly link it to your account again. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all users of DropboxPortableAHK, especially those who use it for work. Your support means a lot to me, and any donations would be greatly appreciated.

If you start DropboxPortableAHK automatically in the background and want to prevent the usual shortcuts from interfering with the startup, you can pass the `-disable-shortcuts` option when running the executable.

This recent challenge has encouraged me to continue working on DropboxPortableAHK, and I am excited to announce that a new version (beta v1.6.9) is now available, which brings support for Dropbox versions greater than 72.4.136. During the last few weeks, many users have commented on our blog post about how they use DropboxPortableAHK and how it helps them in their daily life.
